Terms and conditions of sale



Forms of payment

  • Prepayment is required for all orders.
  • Credit card: We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
  • Discount prepayment options: We offer a 3% discount for prepayment by wire transfer, ACH or Zelle. We offer a 2% discount for debit card payment.
  • Company checks and cashier's checks are generally accepted for orders over $2,000 USD, but with no discount. Acceptance of company checks is at our discretion and should not be assumed for small companies. Payment by check will typically delay order fulfillment by 2 business days.
  • Net terms: Many of our resellers accept net terms for purchases by qualified companies and government agencies. Call our sales department for further information. Purchasing via net terms may delay your order execution / ship date.
  • Personal checks/PayPal/COD: Not accepted.


Warranty by product

Stratosphere computers:

  • Stratosphere Pro, Evolution: 3-year limited warranty
  • Stratosphere Express, Mini, Studio: 2-year limited warranty
  • Stratosphere Elite: 1-year limited warranty
  • Extended warranties are avaiable as options in the product configurators

Zenview, UltraView and UltraFlex multi-screen monitors:

Laptops:

  • Warranty by manufacturer, as specified in Specs tab (Warranty and Service)
  • Optional warranty / service upgrades as shown in the configurator

SideCar: one-year limited warranty

External accessories: Warranty by manufacturer (e.g. keyboard/mouse, speakers, UPS battery backup, cables, hubs, docks)

Warranties protect the original purchaser and are non-transferrable.


International orders

We accept a large volume of international orders and welcome our many customers around the world.

Free international power cables: Our major product lines (Stratosphere computers, Zenview displays, SideCars) can be shipped with the appropriate local power cables for the customer's country, at no extra charge. However, certain external accessories (e.g., speakers, UPS battery backup) are available only with U.S. power cables. If we can't ship speakers or UPS with the appropriate local power cable, we will delete the item from your order.

Stratosphere computer keyboards use a U.S.-style layout and are optional.

Taxes: Local taxes and import duties are the responsibility of the customer to pay. For example, U.K. customers are normally charged VAT by the U.K. authority, but not import duties on our products. Canada charges HST and/or GST but not import duties. These taxes and fees are charged separately by DHL at time of customs clearance, unless you choose DDP Incoterms for your order.

Incoterms: We offer both DAP (Delivered At Place) and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Incoterms.

With DAP Incoterms, we charge you for shipping to your door, but exclude any taxes (VAT or GST/HST), levies or duties. Taxes, levies and duties are then charged to you by DHL prior to customs clearance, with DHL contacting you for payment or a VAT number prior to the shipment being presented to customs.

With DDP terms, we charge you estimated taxes, duties and levies with your order. DDP terms typically speed up customs clearance. If actual charges for taxes, levies and duties exceed our estimate, we may charge you later for the difference. Most destination countries charge taxes (VAT, or GST/HST for Canada) but not levies or duties.



Order ship date (current as of June 2024)

All products are custom-built for each order. The following ship-date projections assume no parts backorders:

  • Monitor arrays: 5 to 10 business days
  • Desktop computers: 10 to 15 business days
  • Xeon-CPU computers: 15 to 20 business days
  • Laptops: 5 to 15 business days
  • Volume orders (2+): within 30 days
  • UltraView Desktop Manager: 3 hours during business hours (weekdays 9am - 7pm)

Estimated ship dates assume in-stock parts availability, typical configurations and typical current order queue. Customers may confirm a more precise shipping date estimate within 1 business day of order. If a specific ship date commitment is required, we must supply this in writing to be a commitment rather than an estimate. Estimated ship dates on product pages are for quantity-1 orders with standard configuration and may not be accurate for your order / options. All orders are guaranteed to ship within 30 days of order unless we advise you otherwise; 99% of orders ship within 30 days.


30-day satisfaction guarantee

To ensure customer satisfaction, we offer this limited 30-day money-back performance guarantee for non-volume, direct orders of Digital Tigers branded products: if our technical support team is unable to resolve any issue affecting product performance, you have the option of returning the product for refund.

Shipping costs are excluded from refund. A minimum 20% restocking fee is required, except for UltraView Desktop Manager software and SideCar incompatibility returns. Products must be returned in undamaged condition for credit. Damage (including cosmetic damage) may increase the restocking fee. When damage is significant, refund may be denied.

Laptops, Xeon-CPU computers, special-order products / options, and third-party product brands and options may not be eligible for refund. Ineligible for refund:

  • Brands: Lenovo, Dell, Matrox
  • Products: Laptops (all brands)
  • Third-party / external options: e.g., speakers, keyboard/mouse, UPS battery backup, cables, hubs, docks
  • Processors: Intel Xeon CPUs and Xeon-CPU systems
  • Monitors: More than 1 monitor / monitor array per order


Orders are final at time of order

Orders are final at time of order. Our products are built-to-order (with components supplied on demand) and thus cannot simply be canceled for full refund. However, we may accept order cancelation within 1 business day of order at our discretion for Digital Tigers branded products if parts orders have not yet been executed.

All laptop orders are final and non-refundable at time of order, with no exceptions, due to distributor no-return policies for laptops.

Non-laptop order cancelations will be handled as a return, with minimum 10% restock fee if not shipped, and minimum 20% restock fee if shipped, exclusive of shipping charges.

All reseller / distributor orders with reseller discount are final and non-refundable at time of order, with no exceptions.

All volume orders (orders of two or more product units) are final and non-refundable at time of order, with no exceptions.

  • International: DHL Express

Inspect packages before accepting delivery

It is the customer's responsibility to examine packages on delivery by the courier and refuse delivery if there is obvious box damage. Please call us immediately for any delivery damage, prior to accepting delivery. If you are unable to call, tell the driver to attempt delivery the next day, while you discuss best options with us.


Retain all packaging

Please retain all packaging (boxes, internal foam) after receiving your order. Failure to retain packaing will prevent you from being able to return the product for service. We charge for replacement packaging (our shipping boxes and foam), and we are unable to replace third-party product packaging.

Price changes; pricing and factual accuracy

Every attempt has been made to ensure the accuracy of pricing and factual information presented on this site. However, prices are subject to change without notice, and rare pricing errors may occur on this site. Similarly, inadvertent factual errors may occur on this site. Product photography may show a previous version of a product that has been recently updated. We will not be held responsible for such errors. However, we will take prompt action to correct any errors that are brought to our attention.



Component upgrades and substitution

At its discretion, we reserve the right to substitute product components of greater quality, capacity or performance than the product components as specified on our Web site. This right is normally exercised only during product generation upgrades on the component level, such as when the LCD manufacturer upgrades a given LCD panel type to new and improved specifications.
